Haifa opened with Dror Hajaj, Moshe Mizrahi, Davon Jefferson, Ben Strong and Jason Rich. On the other side of the court it was Sean Daniel, Or Brener, Taj McCullough, Julian Khazzouh and Eddy Barlow.
A great opening by Mizrahi (3 out of 3 three-pointers) has lead the Greens to a quick 12:24. Haifa finished the first quarter with a promising lead – 20:30.
Good minutes of Ido Kozikaro and Jesse Pellot-Rosa lead the Greens forwards to 25:41, as the clock showed four minutes into the second half. McCullough, the only one who actually functioned among Ramat Gan , was on the bench during those minutes. Mizrahi and Rich continued pushing Haifa forwards, with Ramat Gan having no weapon against any of Avi Ashkenazi’s moves. By halftime, 34:51 to the Greens.
On the second half, Haifa started with a true garbage time, while maintaining its high lead – 40:60 at five minutes to the end of the third quarter. Every time the guests made some comeback noise, the Greens started playing seriously and maintaining a double-digit lead. Five minutes to the end of the game, the score board showed 56:72. The last minutes did not bring to any change, as Haifa maintained its lead but did not try to escape further. By the end – 69:80 to the hosts. Ramat Gan will continue on its search for its first league win of the season.
